Dialogue between
Form and Formlessness

Before each painting is born, I often sit in meditation or dance and allow what wants to come through. At times it is a very specific image which reveals itself, and step by step gets born onto the canvas. At other times there is nothing specific at all, just a vague feeling or sense of color. I simply let the painting speak to me and guide me - tell me where it wants to go. The meditative space is that which allows the intuitive process to take place. It is a mysterious unfolding, a birthing process, a dialogue between form and formlessness.
